Design intent

The PQ project, in Garós, is a mountain refuge to enjoy the ski seasons in an intimate and familiar atmosphere. It is an epidermal intervention in which the common and private spaces were updated, and in which it was decided to decorate with elements linked to the mountain such as wood, leather details, iron and wool fabrics in smooth or checkered finishes.
The lighting was designed in such a way that it generated chiaroscuro to enhance the drama of the enclave, the Aran Valley. The social spaces are located in the semi-basement floor and in the attic floor, common spaces in which the use of furniture of different formats prevailed to enrich the environment.
Caring for the client was the starting premise, we sought to create a meeting place in which the warmth of home was the common thread. We designed a large communal table that creates a versatile space. This table is accompanied by a long bench that becomes a shelf and reinforces its versatility.
The pieces specially designed for this project were combined with purchase elements, the furniture was enhanced so that it also functioned as storage, the long bench has drawers, the beds are canapé-type and the side tables also function as spaces to store blankets or cushions.
